Preparing for you stay in hospital 

Before being admitted to hospital, you may be asked to attend a pre-admission clinic telephone call. This is designed to confirm your personal details, document your medical history, do any tests that will assist the doctors to provide their services, and explain what will happen during your hospital stay.

Routine admission test for Internal medicine patient

  • Complete blood count (CBC)
  • Urinalysis
  • Biochemical test
  • X-ray ( Chest)
  • Electrocardiography (EKG)

Routine admission test for preoperative patient

  • Complete blood count (CBC)
  • Urinalysis
  • Biochemical test
  • X-ray ( Chest)
  • Electrocardiography (EKG)
  • Abdominal Ultrasound
  • HCV, HBV,HIV,TP test
  • Coagulogram test ( over 40 ) 
  • Antibiotic sensitivity test

After the admission it may require additional test. 

What to bring


  • your ID card
  • things you use every day, like glasses and dentures
  • regular medications in their original containers (including over-the-counter medicines, inhalers and eye drops)
  • mobility aids, if you are using any
  • details of any private health insurance
  • footwear/slippers, sleepwear and toiletries for overnight stays
  • books, magazines,other items to entertain you

Don’t bring large amounts of cash, jewelry valuables with you

  • The internal medicine bed fee can be paid in advance for 3-5 days.
  • If you are hospitalized for 4 or more days, you can be covered by insurance.
  • In the department of general surgery, if you are planned patient, emergency patient, have voluntary insurance, and if students or herders, they pay 10% before the surgery or stay. Surgery cost and telesurgery fee in advance.
  • Spinal and joint surgery fees will be paid at the Bank of Mongolia's dollar exchange rate on the day of admission.
  • If you have pension, group, child and neonatal leave insurance, 100% of the surgery costs will be covered by the insurance.

Discharge from the hospital as directed by the client doctor:

  • Between 9:00 and 12:00 on the day of discharge from the hospital, you will have to pay for the treatment at the cashier's office on the first floor of the hospital, fingerprint, and give the receipt to the head nurse.
  • In case of premature discharge, please notify the attending physician and nurse and wait 30 minutes to 1 hour until the treatment is calculated and monitored.
  • Medical records must be received within 3 days of discharge.
